One of my favorites and a powerful song of hope . . . which I’d love to share with Brandon Hein, but since he has never seen the Internet as we know it, and cannot receive tapes and videos . . . I can only send it in my thoughts and prayers.
Brandon’s case is currently under review by the US Court of Appeal 9th District. He has been in prison for 13 years for a crime nobody says he committed.

40″ of Rain in May
Needless to say that’s a lot of rain! May and October are our wettest months. Since May is really the start of the rainy season, the rain is usually welcomed, but 40″ . . . and actually most of that came in the last half of the month. So it was wet! Usually in May we get 30-35″, but this year there was a tropical depression stalled over the area, so we got more than normal. And since it all came at once, it was a bit much. But yesterday was a sunny day . . . all day!
In the morning I took an hour walk with the three dogs up in Palmira. Actually it was four dogs since our Indian’s puppy joined us. I had the Dalmatians running free and the Rottweiler on a leash. Monkey, our Rottie, has a thing for chasing the neighbor’s chickens. It was beautiful. We walked through our neighbor’s pastures and you would swear you were on a farm in the Midwest.
In the afternoon I took a drive with some friends, actually folks I met on this blog, who have recently relocated to Boquete from South Florida. We drove up to Bajo Mono where the Quetzal Trail begins, and around the El Salto area, and then up to our farm in Palmira, and it was spectacular. Even on a sunny day there can be fog up in Bajo Mono, but yesterday was like Switzerland and “The Sound of Music”!

On The Sea Again: PRINSENDAM 24-day “Farewell to Europe”
Well, I’ve got my fall assignment and its off to the Med and then bringing the PRINSENDAM across the Atlantic to Ft. Lauderdale – Athens, Kusadasi (for Ephesus), Santorini, Ktakolon, Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Cartagena, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Casablanca, Lanzarote and Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and Madeira. Sound like fun? Well come along and join us!
I love the PRINSENDAM. I loved it when it was Royal Viking’s ROYAL VIKING SUN, and it is even better as the PRINSENDAM. And I love being in the Med at the end of the season when its cool and uncrowded.

Darn Richard!
We’re booked on the ‘09 “Euro Bye-bye Float”. Day late and a dollar short as usual.
BTW, the dead chix around the K9’s neck for a day or two works like a charm unless your dealing with real dim wit (which I doubt since it looks like a Rotti is having the problemo).
Be well & have a great trip, summer, holidays, etc.
